La crosta lattea guarisce da sola entro 3-4 mesi senza lasciare traccia e non interferisce in alcun modo con la crescita dei capelli. Si tratta perciò di un disturbo che non deve destare preoccupazione anche se talora può creare ansia l’inconveniente estetico. La crosta lattea non è fastidiosa per il bimbo, infatti non prude e non brucia.
Cosa fare per accelerare la guarigione?
Per aiutare il distacco delle crosticine, è sufficiente ammorbidirle con un batuffolo di cotone imbevuto d’olio di mandorle o d’oliva e lavare la testa con shampoo olio-non olio. Passare poi delicatamente un pettinino a denti fitti e punte arrotondate per rimuovere le crosticine già staccate dai capelli, evitando pressioni e sfregamenti che potrebbero favorire il distacco di quelle ancora attaccate. Evitare l’uso di saponi troppo aggressivi che danneggiano il film idrolipidico della pelle rendendola più secca e irritabile. In aggiunta possono essere molto utili le pomate saliciliche o a base di keluamide.
Informate però il pediatra se la pelle appare arrossata o compare del pus o se la crosta lattea persiste.
